Textured Ceiling

A finished or textured ceiling is a ceiling that has had additional materials applied or affixed to it in order to enhance the appearance of the room. The texture is often affiliated with the “popcorn” finishes most common in older houses. Since then texture has become a lot cleaner with a finer finish. For a sleeker look try a knockdown finish.
